Unitek USB 3.1 Type-C to USB-A Adaptor for MacBook Pro Late 2016

I’ve ordered two of these USB 3.1 Type-C to USB-A adaptors for my MacBook Pro Late 2016.

I was using the no-name ones and wanted to check these out as I’ve used Unitek gears before and have been happy with the brand.

 

Each adaptor is neatly packaged.

 

Build seems of quality and the silver coating looks nice when connected to the MacBook.

The USB-C plug on the noname adaptor has a join whereas the Unitek is seamless all around.

 

 

The Unitek adaptor cohabites fine with the original USB-C charging cable.

 

 

Unfortunately the two USB-C ports on each side of the MacBook Pro late 2016 are a bit too close which prevents using two Unitek adaptors at the same time.

 

The width of the Unitek adaptor is 16mm. If you need to be able to plug two adaptors at the same time on one side, make sure to buy those that are narrower.
