How to turn off song/album/playlist repeat in the Music app on iPhone and iPad

These steps show how to turn off the repeat mode in the Music app on iPhone and iPad with iOS 9.1.

Step 1 – Tap on the Miniplayer at the bottom of the screen to bring up the Now Playing screen

The Miniplayer is the area just above the tab bar that shows the current song and album.

Step 2 – Tap on the repeat icon until it becomes unselected

The repeat icon is at the bottom of the Now Playing screen. It toggles between these modes:

• repeat one song
• repeat whole album
• no repeat

The below screenshot shows the repeat mode as turned-off. After playing the last song of the album or playlist the music app will stop.
